Dry land Sedge. Fertile and sterile culms. Ultimate Branchlets strongly coiled. Identifying features - Caustis sp Culms: Rounded, rigid, erect and many noded. Inflorescence: As long, or longer, than culms; Panicle of spikelets, 1-2 flowers. Involucral Bracts: Leaves: Reduced to brown sheathing scales.
