Cultural Notes

Timber (pale yellow) used for boat-building, furniture, veneers, turnery, panelling. Grain straight.

Used for vintage car timber body frames because of screw-holding and glueing ability and general strength and stability.

Structural plywood, and sporting goods such as baseball bats, cricket bats, and stumps, boat oars, and gun stocks, as well as for parquetry flooring and panelling.

Identification Notes

Leaflets wrap around Leaf Stem.

Leaves Opposite Pinnate with 9-17 prs. leaflets.
