Identification Notes

Deciduous

Leaves: Obovate to Ovate-elliptical, Simple, 6-12 cm, Blade stiff and sandpapery, green and sometimes glossy above. paler below; midrib and Lateral Veins prominent. 2 Veins extending from base to half length of LeafLeaf often Lobed in juvenile plants. Petiole slender 5-12 mm.

Stipule: short rolled. 

Branchlets: rough but not hairy

Clear watery Latex present,

Requires moisture.
